About Yellowbrick Parenting Forums
HELLO. WELCOME TO YELLOWBRICK.
Join a global community of parents, experts, and researchers who support and help each other on the parenting journey.
Yellowbrick.me fills a void that other parenting websites don’t. Community members understand the challenges and struggles parents face every day. Join a collaborative community that allows and encourages you to ASK, HELP, LEARN, and GROW.
The FORUM allows you to ask questions of other community members who are ready and willing to help. The option to remain anonymous helps to alleviate the fear and embarrassment some parents feel when it comes to asking for help.
Step deeper into the FORUM by sharing your own knowledge. Your experience and your story can help others deal with their own problems. Don’t keep your knowledge and expertise to yourself, the community needs you—share what you know!
Yellowbrick.me is constantly working to develop an extensive network of the best parenting experts available. Practitioners, researchers, and educators from around the globe join forces to support your parenting journey through educational blog posts in the EXPERT CORNER, videos, courses, and behavioral interventions.
The Yellowbrick.me community is building a world-wide, word-class social network that helps parents thrive through the crowd-sourcing of knowledge and support. Come for the helpful information, stay to be a part of the community that is committed to your personal and family growth.
AN APPROACH BASED ON RESEARCH
Founders John Christensen, Ph.D. and Matt Connell, Ed.D., M.B.A. discovered that a large gap exists between the educational resources parents seek online and the information they are able to access. They discovered a need for a supportive community and credible information resource for everyone. Key findings included…
PARENTS FEEL AFRAID AND ISOLATED
• 53% of parents feel isolated
• 55% are afraid of looking like a bad parent
PARENTS WANT TO HELP EACH OTHER OUT
• 87% of parents want to share their knowledge
• 77% want to give social support
PARENTS CRAVE CREDIBLE INFORMATION
• 96% of parents want access to scientific research
• 97% need access to experts
YELLOWBRICK.ME RESPONDS TO THOSE NEEDS BY CONNECTING:
Parents — Families help each other sort through parenting challenges with questions and answers posted in the Forum.
Experts — Professionals fill the needs of the community with informative articles, courses and behavioral interventions.
Researchers — Platform serves as a significant resource for the accumulation and dissemination of both academic and crowdsourced knowledge.
