My Breastfeeding Tips

As a parent, it is important to know that breastfeeding is one of the most important aspects of the development and growth process of your child. Breastfeeding not only provides your child with optimal nutrition, but it also offers an incredible bonding platform for you and your baby. Various research studies have shown that breastfeeding your baby for the first six months, along with frequent breastfeeding in tandem with well-chosen solid foods until 12 months and beyond, has its inherent benefits for mother and her small child as well. Unlike the conventional milk formula for babies, breast milk, especially in the early stages, contains essential elements such as colostrum that are highly nutritious for the baby. Here are some breastfeeding tips I think are worth taking into account:

1) Consult a medical practitioner for professional advice

2) Avoid taking excessive alcohol and drugs

3) Eat a healthy diet

4) Breastfeed as your child as often as possible

5) Avoid smoking and highly processed foods

If you’re coping with low breast milk supply, drink healthy nursing tea. It was a great help to me when I was producing one oz or less and baby was not getting his tummy filled. Now, he’s exclusively breastfeeding.
