As founder of Educated Quest, Stuart Nachbar provides personalized college, transfer and graduate/professional school admissions advisory services to help students and parents make the best-informed decisions their future education. Having worked around higher education for over three decades as an admissions advisor, author, urban economic development professional and senior-level software marketing executive, he knows the “inside baseball” about how colleges do business.
Stuart’s services focus on finding schools where a student is most likely to succeed academically, socially and financially, as well as go on to rewarding life after graduation. His expertise helps students and parents consider academics, costs, housing, student success, career development, networking opportunities, and more, enabling them to get the best return on their investment. He also helps students to prepare their admissions essays in their unique voice to help them successfully gain admission to their target schools.
Prior to starting Educated Quest, Stuart was senior vice president, and one of the original members of the management team, for College Central Network (CCN), a New York City-based company that provides Web-based applications to more than 650 college and university career centers. In 2009 he penned Defending College Heights, a novel surrounding the murder of a US Army recruiter during the Second Gulf War.
Stuart has a BA in Political Science and an MBA in Marketing, both from Rutgers University (NJ), a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Certificate in College Admissions Counseling (with Distinction) from UCLA.
Stuart is a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling (NJACAC) and the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC).
